This is the second book in the spellwork syndicate, it starts off okay I did like it but I felt that there could've been more happening it felt almost like something was missing, don’t get me wrong I did enjoy this book and I do plan on reading the next one. It's just as corky as the first one and all the same characters with a couple new ones. Anise I feel like she's finally coming into who she is in this book a little bit more confident, she's developing her friendships a little more, we learn more about the shields and we learn a little bit more about Wynn (whom I might add is just my favorite character in both books so far.) Again, the ending did feel a little fast, but I do like how it’s almost a new story each book so I can deal with that. All and all I can't wait for the next one.
